We are more than happy to introduce to you three inspiring projects, supported by the LC Supports Foundation and selected for our annual Green Heart Campaign. As a special gift for the holidays, LC Packaging makes a donation on your behalf to one of these projects. The Sri Lankan Hope for Children Foundation supports 15 schools and homes to improve the livelihoods of many children and families. The organisation invests in educational facilities, building shelters, organising educational activities and providing resources to help improve literacy.
Green Heart Project:
The majority of the parents of the students of the Warapitiya Junior School in Mahaoya lost their already limited income due to Covid-19. There is a big shortage of food and clothing. We can help all 220 children by providing a food parcel and essential clothing like, underwear, vests, skirts and socks for only € 6,80 per child.

Together with our local Partner in Bangladesh, a skills development programme was set up for waste pickers in Dhaka. Graduated participants are offered a job at LC Packaging’s SA8000 certified production facility where they receive a fair wage, heath care and a safe working environment.
Green Heart Project:
To keep students and their families as safe as possible, the programme plans to organise awareness sessions on Covid-19 and occupational health and safety. Additionally, there is a plan to invest in 4 new industrial sewing machines and a LCD TV with wi-fi for visually displaying sewing operations during the skill training courses.

Contributing to female economic empowerment in Bangladesh, FIBC manufacturer Dutch-Bangla Pack Ltd. (DBPL) has set up Happy Kids, a day-care centre that offers a safe, playful and educational environment for the children of its factory workers. Free of charge!
Green Heart Project:
To provide an even more enjoyable environment for the children, Happy Kids would love to invest in an air cooler unit to battle the hot summer days and a microwave to heat the children’s bottles and meals.
